A TEENAGE boy has been charged with robbery following two incidents in Chester.

The 16-year-old boy from Crewe, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Monday, December 10 following two robberies in Chester city centre.

The first incident occurred at approximately 3.20pm on Monday, December 10 near to Bars Roundabout; the second occurred a short time later on Dee Lane.

The teenager was arrested at about 3.45pm on Hoole Lane.

He has subsequently been charged with robbery, attempted robbery, possession of a knife in a public place and threatening a person with a bladed article.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, December 12).

A 14-year-old boy from New Ferry was also arrested as part of the investigation; he has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
