THE cadets and staff of 1074 (Ellesmere Port) Squadron have had cause to offer their congratulations to two members of the squadron recently.

Firstly, Sergeant Lynette McDermott, a member of the squadron staff team was congratulated, followed by Cadet Sergeant Theodore Philip-Holloway.

Sergeant Lynette McDermott RAFAC, following her first year as a uniformed member of staff, has successfully completed the course to confirm her appointment to the rank of sergeant with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets which was held at the Royal Air Force College at Cranwell.

Sergeant McDermott received instruction and training to aid her in fulfilling the role of a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) with Ellesmere Port Air Cadets and Merseyside Wing and will now continue her duties on 1074 (Ellesmere Port) Squadron and help grow and develop the Squadron further than its current strength.

Ellesmere Port Air Cadets are also proud to announce the awarding of a promotion to one of their cadets for his overall performance on squadron and his role as corporal over the past year.

Cadet Sergeant Theodore Philip-Holloway has demonstrated much initiative and skill in his duties and taking part in the wide variety of activities offered.
