NESTON'S Christmas Market welcomed festive revellers to enjoy a selection of stalls and entertainment.

Taking place on Saturday, December 1 the Neston Christmas Market boasts a variety of stalls including crafts, gifts, artisan foods, children's activities and community groups.

There were a good variety of stalls including crafts and gifts, artisan foods, children’s activities and community groups both in the market square and inside

the Town Hall.

There were several street food stalls ensuring no-one went hungry as they wandered round the market.

As darkness fell the lantern parade lit up the square and then made its way round to The Cross for the ceremonial switching on of the tree lights. A lovely way to usher in the festive season.

Mayor, Cllr Pat Kynaston, was delighted with the turn out from stall holders and the general public to support the event.

She said: "The market was a result of months of hard work by Hip & Harmony, NCYC and Neston Town Council. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying

themselves.

"There has been a lot of very positive feedback from both traders and the public."

Cllr Christine Warner added: “Thank you to all our wonderful stall holders who helped to make our Christmas market such a successful event”

The market, asset and admin co-ordinator, Nicky McMahon said: “I would like to thank the markets team for all their hard work, the traders for wearing their elf hats and costumes and joining in with the spirit of the event, the community groups and volunteers for providing such a great programme of entertainment and finally the town centre businesses for getting involved and bringing the community together."
