THOUSANDS turned out for a wellbeing event organised by a social enterprise.

The Mind Body Spirit (MBS) Festival, organised by RainbowBiz, returned on Sunday at Mold’s Theatr Clwyd.

The festival, in its second year, is held five times a year and includes a variety of stalls, talks and different workshops including a newly introduced Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Bath.

Sue Oliver, director of RainbowBiz said: “We were absolutely delighted at how the communities from near and far came out to enjoy this fantastic free MBS Festival. We had over 50 traders with a selection of gifts, crafts, holistic therapies and spiritual readers with us. There was also three areas where we held free workshops, talks and meditation sessions throughout the day.

‘’As a local social enterprise, we are also keen to demonstration how our organisation works with other organisations and we therefore invited North Wales Police to join us with their rainbow car. The vehicle is used to help raise awareness of how to report hate crime and officers were on hand to offer advice and information to our visitors about general community safety too.”

She added: ‘’The whole event takes months of careful planning and all our volunteers really enjoy coming together on the day to put this fantastic festival on for the community to enjoy free of charge.

‘’Many of our volunteers have their own daily barriers to overcome and I am so proud of each and every one of them for the support they give to RainbowBiz CIC. Without their support, these large scale events would not be possible to host as it really does take a dedicated team to bring all the elements together.”

Sarah Way, who had the initial idea of the festival, told the Leader: “It’s all about wellness and looking after your own health. There’s nothing like it on this scale that is completely free, there was a gap in the market.”
