BURGER fans rejoice – the new Five Guys restaurant is now up and running in Chester city centre.

It opened on Bridge Street today (Monday, November 19) with the creation of 35 jobs.

The new eatery will be able to seat 43 people inside and eight outside.

Five Guys was established by five members of the Murrell family in Virginia in 1986 with the first UK restaurant opening in London’s Covent Garden in 2013.

A spokesman said: “Five Guys prides itself on using the freshest ingredients, and customers can find out which local farm the beef and potatoes have come from by checking out the restaurant’s notice board.

Chester and District Standard:

“This results in delicious burgers and fries of the highest quality, burgers are grilled to order, whilst the fries are hand cut every morning and cooked in peanut oil to create a mouth-watering taste.”

She added: “Using the locally sourced ingredients there are 250,000 possible combinations to order your burger at Five Guys as well as over 1,000 possible ways to customise your milkshake!”

Five Guys will have its work cut out competing with established restaurants on the same street such as Burger Shed and Urbano 32.
