CHILDREN from Dandelions Day Nursery in Farndon have been getting green-fingered by planting a patch of daffodils in the nursery grounds.

The bulbs have been donated by Taylor Wimpey North West as part of its national Proud campaign, demonstrating its ongoing commitment and pride in leaving a lasting legacy in the communities in which it builds.

As well as the children, members of Taylor Wimpey’s Wellington Green team also joined in with the planting.

Stuart Craig, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “We are proud to be building a new community at our Wellington Green development in Farndon and we want to leave a place that both our customers and other local residents will enjoy long after we have finished building.

“We were thrilled to work with the children from Dandelions Day Nursery and hope that the bulbs will grow into a lovely display that people of Farndon will admire in years to come.”

Angela Thornton, owner of Dandelions Day Nursery, added: “It’s great to see a company like Taylor Wimpey think about the wider community while they are building in the local area and leave something beautiful behind. We all loved getting to work with our trowels and can’t wait to see the flowers bloom in Spring."
