CHESHIRE Police officers are urging witnesses to come forward following an aggravated burglary in Kelsall.

At around 2.20pm on Friday (November 2) three men or teenagers broke into a house on Chester Road while the owners were at home.

One of the offenders was armed with a crowbar.

They fled on foot with a quantity of jewellery along Chester Road towards The Co-operative Food shop.

After they had left the house a light gold coloured Ford Mondeo/Escort estate car pulled up outside the address and the driver beeped its horn.

He then sped off along Chester Road and picked up the three offenders near the Co-Op.

The vehicle was abandoned by the four males at The Willows off Fluin Lane in Frodsham around half-an-hour later, at approximately 3pm.

All four were white.

Two of the three males who broke into the house in Kelsall looked to be teenage boys with slim builds.

One of them had a black hooded jacket on with a light coloured top underneath it and was wearing a baseball cap with a light coloured peak, dark tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers.

The other had light brown hair and was wearing a khaki waterproof coat with the hood up.

The other male who broke into the house was older, stockier and taller. He was aged approximately in his late 30s or early 40s, had white stubble on his face and was wearing a dark blue/black puffer jacket, a black baseball cap, dark jeans, black gloves and light grey trainers.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone who recognises the descriptions of the offenders and believes they may be able to identify them to get in touch.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or anything suspicious, as well as from anyone who believes they may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the offenders or the getaway car.

Detective Constable Carl Humphreys said: “Burglary is a serious offence in which people are targeted in their own home, which is the place they should be able to feel most safe.

“In this instance the burglary took place while the victims were at home and one of the offenders – a teenage boy – raised a crowbar towards one of them in a threatening manner.

“We are determined to find out who the offenders are and make them face the consequences of their actions.

“I urge anyone who believes they may know the identities of the offenders to come forward.

“I also want to hear from anyone who witnessed or believes they may have dashcam or CCTV footage of any aspect of the incident or saw anything suspicious in the Chester Road area of Kelsall or the Fluin Lane area of Frodsham.”
