A PUB is undergoing a six-figure refurbishment, creating seven new jobs.

The Peacock on Christleton Road closed on Monday, October 8, for an extensive makeover.

It will reopen tomorrow (Friday, October 19) providing visitors with the perfect setting for family dining, a catch up over coffee and cake, or for an occasion with friends.

The pub will also be equipped with both SKY and BT Sport, allowing sports fans to watch their heroes on super-sized screens.

The relaxed atmosphere is reflected in the pub’s new interior design, which offers a bold colour scheme of inky blues, mustard and charcoal greys, natural wood tones and copper detailing – paired with signature pieces of furniture and contemporary flooring.

Guests can enjoy an extensive menu, offering everything from pub classics and tasty chicken dishes, to lighter bites and colourful salads.

On Sundays, the team will offer roasts all day along with a tempting pudding selection.

The venue will also offer an extensive drinks range with craft beers – from national and local cask ales, an array of gins and rums.

Adam Kinley, general manager at the Peacock, said: “We’re incredibly excited to launch on Friday, October 19, and can’t wait to open the doors! The pub will be a great destination for locals, whether you’re visiting us for a quick bite, long lazy lunch, the latest fixtures or a family get together.”

Adam added: “To ensure our offering is tailored to the location, we will be serving a selection of locally brewed cask ales, craft beers and a wide selection of gins – in addition to our extensive drinks collection and delicious menu.

"We look forward to welcoming the people of Chester soon!”
