A FORMER Chester man previously sent down for the abduction of a runaway girl has now been jailed for having unlawful sex with her.

Jordan William Sansom gave her drink and drugs and groomed the under age girl and told her that she was mature and that he did not care about her age.

Sansom, 21, had received nine months imprisonment in May for abduction and had been released from that sentence but he had been recalled when the latest allegations were made.

Judge Rhys Rowlands, sitting at Mold Crown Court, warned that the case had a five year starting point after trial but in all the circumstances he imposed a 32 month prison sentence and ordered him to register for life as a sex offender.

Samson, previously of Sycamore Drive in Lache, Chester but who had been living on Deeside, admitted five charges of sexual activity with a child between December of last year and March of this year which included intercourse.

The judge said the case involved regular sex with an under aged girl.

He was well aware of her age and he had taken advantage of her and there was a not insignificant disparity in their ages.

Prosecutor David Mainstone said the first time they had sex was by a tree in a field after he repeatedly asked her if she wanted to do it.

She felt uncomfortable but felt that she could not say no.

She then felt shocked and could not believe what she had just done.

He did not use contraceptives on that occasion or on the other times they had sex

The girl told how they had sex three or four times when sober but on the other times they were intoxicated either by pills or alcohol.

When a formal complaint was made he was arrested and her DNA was found on his boxer shorts.

There was also a text on his phone which said “when we last had sex”.

Robin Boag, defending, said his client fully accepted that drugs were involved but it was not a case of giving a vulnerable girl drugs to facilitate the offence.

Sansom clearly had issued which he needed to address. There had been no force. The sex had been consensual, he said.
