CHESTER'S Little Theatre will be welcoming John Wheatcroft and fellow musicians to the Salisbury Studio on Saturday, October 20.

The Little Theatre in Gloucester Street has been building a strong following for exciting jazz evenings. And this one promises to be exceptional.

Guitarist John Wheatcroft seamlessly integrates the sound and approach of modern jazz with the timeless Franco-American swing of the legendary Django Reinhardt, producing a sound that is both rooted in the traditions of the genre and vital, forward thinking and is highly original.

The wonderful John Padfield on saxophone, flute and clarinet and the equally amazing ‘Count’ John McCormick on double bass join him for a set of standards, unique arrangements and original tunes that not to be missed.

The Salisbury Studio at the Little Theatre provides an excellent venue for relaxing and enjoying the music in comfortable surroundings. The acoustics are very good and the bar will be open.

Doors open at 7.30 pm and the gig kicks off at 8pm. Tickets cost £10 and £9 online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/chestertheatreclub.
