POLICE were called on to moo-ve a herd of cows off the road between Ellesmere Port and Neston.
Officers had a giggle reporting the incident on their Facebook page, saying the bovine beasts had created “udder chaos” last night (Wednesday, September 12).
They wrote: “The steaks were high tonight with loose cows on Chester High Road. A Team safely mooved them back into their field, as they were told ‘it's past-ure bedtime’.”
People have been quick to join in with the cow puns.
One woman commented: “I herd they were making a cowmotion!”
And another added: “You guys deserve a pat on the back!”
