AWARD-winning Chester Little Theatre is opening its new season with a delightful comedy by one of the masters of comedic drama.
Confusions is a classic piece by Alan Ayckbourn, with quintessentially English settings, fully relatable characters, laugh-out-loud humour and some challenging staging.
The director is Lisa Miller who previously directed The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at the Little Theatre.
Confusions is actually a series of short plays that have a very loose connection. A harassed mother of three young children features in the first sketch, valiantly trying to cope alone, whilst her errant husband is the star of the second play.
In the third and fourth sketches, we meet Councillor Mrs Pearce. She is the connecting element here but she shares the spotlight with all other characters.
Confusions opens on Saturday, September 15, then runs from Monday, September 17, to Saturday, September 22, at 7.30 pm. Tickets are £10, with £8 concessions on the first Saturday, Monday and Tuesday evenings.
