A COUPLE who teach at an Ellesmere Port dance school have raised a whopping £4,272 for a cancer charity in memory of a friend who died.
Karen and James McKenzie-Green, of the Lynn McKenzie School of Dancing, spent a year collecting the money after dance captain Lynn Harris lost her battle with the disease in August 2016.
She was just 57.
Karen said: “Every month we have done a different fundraising event to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support with the help of students and parents from the dance school.
“James and I are so proud of the help we have received for the 'A Year For Lynn’ events we have done to raise the money and create a legacy in her memory.
“She was a big part of our school and will be truly missed but never forgotten.”
