THE Lion Salt Works Museum will be hosting action-packed fun for children this summer.

Each week will feature a different theme for two days of creative ‘drop-in’ workshops, taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

During Super Hero week, children can make their own super hero mask, while during Alice in Wonderland week, children can play garden games and go on a special ‘Alice Trail’ around the grounds.

Fossil Fun week features fun fossil-related activities and during Beano Bonaza week children can learn about different techniques for putting together the best comic page.

The summer will end with Wild in the Woods – a chance to do wildlife craft activities inspired by the site.

Super Hero week activities take place on Tuesday, July 31 and Wednesday, August 1.

Cllr Louise Gittins, cabinet member for communities and wellbeing at Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “Parents looking for fun, action-packed and educational activities over the long summer holiday need look no further than the list of varied and creative activities at the Lion Salt Works.

"Located next to the beautiful Northwich woodlands and right next to the tranquil Trent and Mersey Canal with is colourful narrowboats, the museum is the perfect location to come for the day with friends and family.”
