Red Lion Penyffordd remain in good form as they made 131-6 to defeat Mold (121-6) by 10 runs, Ben Mason and Mike Todt in the runs while Daz Wilcox and Rich Ainsley claimed wickets.

Leaders Tarporley saw their trip to Kingsley Knights rescheduled for August 16, which could have a bearing on the destination of the title.

In Division Two, Brymbo Brewers remain in a strong position after easing to victory over HWGCC, who finished short on 169-8 chasing Brymbo’s 191-2.

Chester Lions (129-4) beat Cornerhouse (127-4) while Tim Brochley’s 5-17 helped Mynydd Isa (115-8) defeat Saughall (74ao).

Ian McDermott’s 51 helped West Cheshire Xbatters post 139-4, but Golden Eagle replied with 142-3 as Stuart Putson hit 50 and Mike Jones also reached a half-century.

In Division Three, Graeme Settle took 3-18 to restrict Cross Keys to 112-7 but Halkyn could only muster 101-9 in response.

Gresford (113-4) proved too strong for West Kirby Wasps (112-8) while Gwersyllt Park and West Cheshire College were awarded walkover wins.

In Division Four, James Hurlin took 4-18 and made 51 not out in Northop Hall’s 26-run win against Castle Square Cutters, Gareth Fox taking 4-30.

Saightonians (135-4) beat Bromborough (92-4) while Abergele (126-9) lost at Oakmere (127-2).

In Division Five, B Williams made 49 for Bank of America (137-6) as they defeated Frodsham (106-8) while Dodleston (169-4) beat Oak Tree Outlaws (118-7).

In Division Six, Defib and MP Plumbing were involved in a thrilling tie, both scoring 134-5.
