SUPERMARKET giant Aldi has announced it will shut its stores early on Sunday IF England reach the World Cup final.

The budget store revealed the news ahead of Wednesday's semi final against Croatia.

A spokesman for Aldi said: "If England reach the World Cup Final - sorry, when England reach the World Cup Final - we're going to close all our stores in England early at 3pm on Sunday, July 15.

"We want our colleagues to be the 12th man cheering on the lads."

The potential early closures will affect all of the stores in the UK.

There are Aldi stores in Bumper's Lane and Tarvin Road in Chester, Chester Road in Broughton, and Wellington Road in Ellesmere Port.
