Cancer Research UK, a world leader in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, relies on funds raised by members of the public through events like Race for Life.
Many of the women taking part had experienced their a battle with cancer, either of their own or a close family member. Many wore or carried pictures of loved ones lost to the disease, and all were united for the common cause: "Let’s beat cancer sooner".
