Chester Boughton Hall produced an excellent bowling display to secure a 100-run victory over Grappenhall in the Cheshire County Premier League.

Batting first, Hall scored 180 all out with Rick Moore top scoring with 51 off 85 balls. Harry Killoran (48), Andrew Metcalf (25) and Jack Williams (24) all added key runs as Sam Guest took 4-22 off 13.3 overs.

Hall then produced an outstanding performance with the ball, spin duo Killoran (3-13) and Williams (3-10) tying Grappnehall’s middle order in knots in just 13 overs between them, Metcalf taking a stunning one-handed catch on the boundary.

Moore took 2-19 and Will Owen claimed 1-30 off 10 overs to secure victory.

Neston ended Oulton Park’s good recent run with a seven-wicket defeat, dismissing Park for just 112 as Ashley Davis claimed 4-21 off 13 overs, David Hurst collecting 2-21.

Neston eased to 113 for three in reply, Dom Smith hitting 30 and Will Evans making 35.

Alderley Edge (264-3) beat Didsbury (258-7) by seven wickets, Nantwich beat Marple by six wickets and Cheadle edged out Bramhall by 28 runs.

Timperely’s Furqan Shafiq hit a mammoth 135 to help his side reached 362 for six, with Toft replying with 305 for four, Rob Jones making 127 off just 120 balls.

Upton secured a two-wicket win at Bowdon in Division One, restricting the hosts to 211 for nine in 50 overs. Patrick Ashling struck 114 for Bowdon, but Ross Dixon (2-61), Graeme Keenan (3-77) and Chris McArthur (2-31) limited the damage.

Matt Owen (59) got Upton off to a good start in reply before Darren Warburton’s 40 helped them over the line of 214 for eight.

Barrow suffered a 66-run defeat at home to Urmston, who posted 241 for six with Calum Turner making 103. Nick Mumford (3-20) and Iroshan de Silva (2-49) were in the wickets, but Barrow could only muster 175 all out in reply, David McClements (49) and Alex Reid (43) in the runs.

In Division Two, Christleton’s Alistair Marks hit a superb 118 off just 105 balls as they posted 248 for nine against Mobberley.

The hosts were then dismissed for 177 in 38.5 overs, Shavaiz Saif taking 4-81 while Joshua Joseph snaffled 3-35 and Arslan Dar took 2-31.

Alvanley’s bowlers were on top in their four-wicket victory at Tattenhall. Glenn Coppack’s hosts were dismissed for just 99, Muhammad Umer top scoring with 26, as Stephen Charles (4-26) and David Shewring (4-27) dominated with ball in hand, Mike Roberts taking 2-23.

In response, Simon Gee’s 31 off 43 balls saw Alvanley home on 102 for six in the 34th over, Michael Rowlands adding 22. Gary Forster collected 3-36 off 15 overs.
