Chester Under-19s secured a second trophy in just four days to cap a memorable campaign for the Academy youngsters.
With their National League Alliance League already sewn up following an unbeaten campaign, Calum McIntyre’s teenagers secured the National League Alliance League Cup last Wednesday at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium with a 3-0 triumph over FC Halifax Town.
And to top it all off, the Blues Under-19s added the North West Youth Alliance Open Cup to their list of honours on Sunday, after a Lloyd Marsh-Hughes hat-trick sealed a 4-2 victory over Heswall, infront of a crowd of over 400 at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
Alex Downes was also on target for McIntyre’s talented squad, who lifted five trophies in total during their superb season, with the NWYA Premier Division Cup and National League Alliance North West Division previously secured.
