It was a wonderful day for St Werbs and St Columba's Catholic Primary School who have been crowned the National League Trust Under 11s Cup final winners.
Representing Chester FC in the showpiece on National League play-off final day at Wembley Stadium, the Hoole youngsters claimed victory over Southern champions Dartford to lift the trophy having climbed the famous Wembley steps.
St Werbs had previously defeated York on penalties in the semi-finals and beat Tamworth 2-1 in the Northern final.
Jim Green, of Chester FC Community Trust, said: “Everyone at Chester FC is hugely proud of the team and they have been wonderful representatives for our club and the city throughout this competition."
