Pupils at a Little Sutton school have been involved in two exciting projects since returning from the Easter break.

Year 6 students at Parklands Community Primary took part in a literacy unit looking at endangered animals the work of wildlife artist Jeremy Paul.

The unit was called 'Can we Save the Tiger?' and saw pupils study Mr Paul's masterpieces and adapted them to make their own versions.

The works were sent to the artist, who replied with gifts of appreciation.

A spokesman for the school said: "It was fantastic to hear from a great UK artist and it has inspired us further."

Meanwhile, Year 3 students at Parklands have taken part in the Polli:Nation Project, which saw them turn their woodland area into a pollinator-friendly habitat. They are now hoping to attract ladybirds and butterflies.
