CHESTER have progressed to the FA Cup fourth qualifying round after beating Spennymoor Town 3-1 at The Deva Stadium.

The Blues had to come from behind to continue their 100 per cent start to the season after their National League North rivals took a sixth minute lead.

However, Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley's side were back on level terms midway through the first half when Jamie Morgan scored from close range.

It remained all square at the break but the second half was only 11 minutes old when Chester went ahead, the in-form Danny Elliott converting a penalty after the striker had been fouled in the area.

George Waring scored a third goal in the 81st minute to guarantee Chester are in the hat for Thursday's draw.
