GRANT SHENTON: A spectator for most of the game and had very little to do apart from twice pick the ball out of the net. 6/10
BRADLEY JACKSON: On the front foot for most of the game and enjoyed plenty of space down the wing. 7
MATTY WATERS: Had a brilliant first half but made an error on Alfreton's first goal which was costly. 6
STEVE HOWSON: As reliable as ever in what was probably his last game for Chester. 7
SIMON GRAND: Slightly untidy performance from the centre back who struggled with the pace of Alfreton's attacks. 5
SCOTT BURTON: Outstanding all afternoon and his best game for Chester since returning from injury. 8
GARY ROBERTS: A good foil for Burton and did plenty of the heavy lifting on midfield. 7
ANTHONY DUDLEY: Showed some great touches in an around the box but wasted some good opportunities. 6
CRAIG MAHON: Full of direct running in the first half and kept the Alfreton defence busy with his dribbling. 7
AKWASI ASANTE: Another smart finish for his ninth goal in 11 games but faded in the second half. 7
GEORGE WARING: Good performance from the striker who won plenty in the air and on the ground and took his goal well. 7
SUBSTITUTES:
IWAN MURRAY: Showed a willingness to get forward and put in one crunching tackle to win the ball. 6
