CHESTER fans endured another miserable away trip as the Blues went down 2-0 at Bradford Park Avenue. Hopes had been raised that the Blues were back on track after last week's excellent display in beating Boston 4-1 at home but an eighth away defeat of the season ensured Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson's outfit lost further ground on the top eight following a poor performance in West Yorkshire.

Here's how the players rated:

GRANT SHENTON: Not much to do but was guilty of hesitation a number of times when clearing the ball. 5/10

BRADLEY JACKSON: His worst game in a Chester shirt since joining and it was a horrible mistake for Bradford PA's second. 4

MATTHEW WATERS: A poor game for the full back who was given a torrid time by Lewis Knight. 4

SCOTT BURTON: Slowly getting back to his best but was lucky to stay on the pitch after an ugly challenge in the closing minutes. 6

DANIEL LIVESEY: Charged forward towards the end and went close with a couple of headed efforts. 6

STEVE HOWSON: Like the rest of the defence he was guilty of not playing to the whistle for PA's opener. 5

CRAIG MAHON: A poor display from the winger who was a passenger for most of the game. 4

GARY ROBERTS: Battling performance from the midfielder who received a head injury early on but kept trying to drive Chester on. 7

GEORGE WARING: Won little in the air and missed the chances he had. 4

ANTHONY DUDLEY: Wasted a gilt-edged chance early on and never came as close again to scoring. 5

DAN MOONEY: Rarely got past his man or supplied a cross of note. 4

SUBSTITUTES

LLOYD MARSH HUGHES: Produced some decent touches when he came on. 5

IWAN MURRAY: A nice cameo from the midfielder who supplied some fine balls into the box. 6
