CHESTER FC and the Chester FC Community Trust have announced that the Blues' forthcoming home game against Boston United on Saturday February 16 has been designated as the 'Junior Blues Takeover Day'.

All children aged up to and including 17-years-old will receive free entry into the Swansway Chester Stadium for the game with the club hoping young Blues fans will bring their friends to the game and pack out the ground.

Activities on the day will see Junior Blues members shadow the roles of volunteers an officials at the club. From helping our with matchday announcements to being a young Director for the day in the boardroom, commentating on the match and even assisting the Media officer for the day, there will be plenty of roles up for grabs where Junior Blues members can assist and experience the matchday duties behind the scenes at Chester FC.

Jim Green, CEO of the Chester FC Community Trust said: "The Junior Blues Takeover is always a great day and I am sure this year's will be too.

"It's fantastic that the club are offering children free admission for the game because it's so important that we attract the next generation of supporters and help them create special memories of following the Blues."

Jeff Banks, Chester FC director of fan engagement said: "I can't wait for this. The Junior Blues are in many ways, the future of our football club. The last takeover day was extremely successful and I know the Junior Blues that took part will always remember the experience, and I'm sure those taking part this year will take everlasting memories from the occasion too."

Job roles include: Management Team, Community Trust Mascot Co-Ordinator, Media Team, Match Photographer, Groundsman, Chairman / Director (includes Boardroom Duty), Tannoy Announcer, Commercial Matchday Team, Seals Live (Matchday Summariser), Matchday Ticket Office, Stadium Safety Team

The club anticipate that there will be great interest in the day, and all applicants between the ages of 8-14 years-old are encouraged to apply for multiple positions.

The closing date for applications is Friday, February 8.
