SCOTT BURTON: Marshalled affairs well and good to see the captain return. 6
DANIEL LIVESEY: Anthony Johnson highlighted his performance and he was the best of the defenders. 7
STEVEN HOWSON: Got stuck in as Chester gained control of the midfield. 6

GARY STOPFORTH: A close run thing for man of the match with an excellent all round display. 7
MATTY HUGHES: Always lively and available and his direct running won some useful free-kicks. 6
IWAN MURRAY: Struggled against Chorley’s big side but showed some nice touches. 5
CRAIG MAHON: Never stopped running and was a constant threat down the left. 8
SUBS: DEANE SMALLEY: Almost scored as soon as he came on and was a real handful in the closing stages. 7
