LONDON BOROUGH OF LEWISHAM Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 Public participation on the adoption of a new conservation area and Article 4 Direction
Local Planning Authorities are required from time to time to Identify areas of special architectural or historic interest in their area, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.
Lewisham Council is looking to designate a new Conservation Area focused on what is known as the 'Christmas Estate' built by local builder Ted Christmas, and the land to the south and north of it which includes some further historic buildings of interest. We are seeking views of residents, stakeholders, and any interested member of the public on these proposals. The designation would give protection to this distinctive neighbourhood in recognition of its special architectural, social and historic character.
Tell us what you think.
Read the consultation documents and then complete a short questionnaire.
