NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 section 119 The Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council (Public Footpath No. 5 (part) Oakmere) Public Path Diversion Order 2017

On 27 June 2017 the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert Public Footpath No. 1 in the parish of Oakmere commencing at O.S. grid reference SJ 5565 7024 then running in a generally easterly direction for a distance of approximately 712 metres to O.S. grid reference 5630 7004 to a new line commencing at O.S. grid reference SJ 5565 7024 then running in a generally southerly direction across Golf Course Road for approximately 11 metres to O.S. grid reference SJ 5565 7023 then running in a generally easterly direction for approximately 435 metres to O.S. grid reference SJ 5608 7012 to re-join the existing Public Footpath 5, and to a second new line commencing at O.S. grid reference SJ 5613 7002, then running in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 190 metres to O.S. grid reference SJ 5630 7004.

Copies of the Order and plan have been deposited and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at First Floor, Ellesmere Port Library, CH65 0BG. A copy may be obtained at a cost of £3 The order came into force 5 June 2017 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 15 September 2016 make an application to the High Court. 27 July 2017 Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Highway Depot Guilden Sutton Lane CH3 7EX
