THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) (FIR STREET, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
Fir Street, Ramsbottom - between Quarry Street and Peel Brow
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate manhole cover and frame
replacement works.
The alternative route will be via Quarry Street, Fern Street and The Meadows and vice-versa
The Order comes into operation on Sunday 05 March 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 1 day. Dated 02 March 2017 Council Solicitor

Lowercroft Road, Bury - between Ainsworth Road and Gisburn Drive The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. The alternative route will be via High Street, Walshaw Road, Harvey Street, Newbold Street and Ainsworth Road and vice-versa
The Order comes into operation on Monday 06 March 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 4 weekends. TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-
1) Poppythorn Lane, Greenhill, Clark's Hill, St Marys Close, Hacking Street, Church Lane, Chapel Street, Sharp Street, Albion Place, Sherbourne Street, Prestwich - at their junctions with Bury New Road
2) Chester Street, Prestwich - at its junction with Bury New Road
3) Clifton Road, Prestwich - at its junction with Bury New Road
4) Warwick Street, Prestwich - from its junction with Bury New Road to a point 40 metres west of Bury New Road
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate the construction and implementation of the Prestwich High Street regeneration scheme. The alternative routes will be>
1) No practicable alternative routes, access will be maintained where possible.
2) Via Bury New Road, Clifton Road and vice versa.
3) Via Bury New Road, Chester Street and vice versa.
4) Via Bury New Road, Clifton Road and vice versa.
The Order comes into operation on Monday 06 March 2017 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 9 months. The road closures will only be implemented as and when required by the works. Dated 02 March 2017
