ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH No 4 (PART) UPTON BY CHESTER) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on FP No 4 Upton by Chester commencing at Liverpool Road (A5116) at OSGR SJ 402 693 and running in a generally westerly then north westerly then westerly direction for approximately 722 metres, to the junction with FP 3 Upton by Chester at OSGR SJ 396 692
The closure is necessary because of an out of repair footbridge that makes the footpath unsafe to use and there are works being proposed to be executed on the footpath. The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 5 May 2021 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. There is no alternative route.
