(BERRY LANE, LONGRIDGE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) (TEMPORARY PARKING AREA) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY SUSPENSION) (TEMPORARY NO WAITING) TEMPORARY NO LOADING) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the Borough of Ribble Valley;



i. Berry Lane, Longridge from the area of carriageway from a point 2 metres south-west of its centreline to the south-western boundary of its carriageway from its junction with Calder Avenue for a distance of 100 metres in a north-westerly direction.



ii. Berry Lane, Longridge from the area of carriageway from a point 2 metres south-west of its centreline to the south-western boundary of its carriageway from its junction with Towneley Road for a distance of 61 metres in a north-westerly direction.



iii. Berry Lane, Longridge from the area of carriageway from a point 2 metres south-west of its centreline to the south-western boundary of its carriageway from its junction with Stanley Street to its junction with Derby Road.



2. The prohibition will be operative from 1631 hours on Saturday 27th June 2020 until 1630 hours on Thursday 31st December 2020 or until it is deemed the prohibitions are no longer required.



AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibition, motor vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from waiting at any time on the north-eastern lane forming part of the carriageway of Berry Lane, Longridge from its junction with Calder Avenue to its junction with Derby Road.

AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibition, motor vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from loading or unloading at any time on the north-eastern lane forming part of the carriageway of Berry Lane, Longridge from its junction with Calder Avenue to its junction with Derby Road.

AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibition, motor vehicles will only be permitted to travel in a north-westerly direction only on the north-eastern lane forming part of the carriageway of Berry Lane, Longridge from its junction with Calder Avenue to its junction with Derby Road.

AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibition parking will be permitted from a point 3.25 metres south-west of the north-eastern boundary of it carriageway to a point 2 metres south-west of its from its junction with Calder Avenue for a distance of 100 metres in a north-westerly direction.

AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibition Parking will be permitted from a point 3.25 metres south-west of the north-eastern boundary of it carriageway to a point 2 metres south-west of its centreline from its junction with Towneley Road for a distance of 61 metres in a north-westerly direction.

AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibition Parking will be permitted from a point 3.25 metres south-west of the north-eastern boundary of it carriageway to a point 2 metres south of its centreline from its junction with Stanley Street to its junction with Derby Road.

The council is satisfied that these temporary restrictions should be introduced in order to maintain social distancing further to the Covid-19 pandemic, therefore reducing the likelihood of danger to the public.
