Sophie Ecclestone recorded her best bowling figures in an ODI as England Women thrashed India by eight wickets in Nagpur.
Spin bowler Ecclestone, 18, who plays for Lancashire, Chester Boughton Hall Ladies and Alvanley, took 4-14 from her 10 overs as well as claiming a catch and helping secure a run-out as England levelled the series at 1-1, dismissing the host nation for 113.
Dani Hazell also impressed with 4-32 which include three of the top four Indian batsmen.
The pair’s eight wickets – as well as one for Alex Hartley and the Ecclestone run-out – saw India slip from 31 without loss and then 80 four four to their eventual total, only Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma looking comfortable.
Set 114 for victory, England cruised home inside 29 overs with Danielle Wright making 47 and Tammy Beaumont finishing not out 39 from 85 deliveries.
It was a much-improved display from Mark Robinson and Heather Knight's side, which sets up a winner-takes-all clash at the same venue on Thursday.
