Gareth Lloyd and his backroom team have been working hard to try and get Llangollen back on the map.
Llangollen seem to be the team to beat with several quality signings itching to make their debut against Penycae in the Premier Division match of the day.

Lloyd confirmed: "Ashley Wilson has joined from Gap QP and goalkeeper Paul Evans from Bala
Town. Kevin Scott is a major capture for us and we have signed former Guilsfield and Caersws defender Chris Smout together with striker Mark Lunt.

"Reuben Moutaloung has joined from Gap QP while Matt Evans and Daniel Currie have returned form Chirk AAA and Cefn United respectively. Also new to the club is prolific scorer Anthony Jones from Chirk AAA and defender Sam Roberts from Cefn United.

"But we will be without Ian Grindley and Andy Lovett through suspension and Paul Evans through holiday commitments for the opener."

Acrefair Youth entertain Llay Welfare and Brymbo, who have been forced to rebuild from scratch, take on highly fancied Rhos Aelwyd who are expected to be there or thereabouts come May. The news from Ponciau Banks is that all of the previous season's squad have signed for the forthcoming season with the exception of the Spanish contingent.

New additions include Daniel Nash (Chirk AAA), Steven Brookes (Penycae), Ben Jones (The New Saints), ex-Chester professional Darren Wright (Airbus), Jamie Jones (Acrefair), Jay James (Christleton), Stuart Tunncliffe and Richard Driffield (Penyffordd), while Tom Smith has also returned from LEX XI. Dyfan Williams and Mike Williams will be missing tomorrow.

There is a new look about Division One with reserve sides now having a league all on their very own. Only time will tell but Steve Williams and his Executive committee should be applauded for thinking this way.

It seems to be a wide open race but on last year's form, New Brighton who are at home to Gwersyllt, should do well.

Communities First will have to be at their best against an FC Cefn buoyed by the fact competition for resources has lessoned with the withdrawal of Cefn United.

Garden Village had a brilliant campaign last time out and they will be involved in the days draw banker against Penyffordd.

Johnstown Youth face Holt Nomads and Mold Juniors play Llanuwchllyn.

The newly formed Reserves Division kicks off tonight and Gresford Athletic will be looking to get off the mark against LEX XI. Chirk AAA take on Llangollen Town and Mynydd Isa face Hawarden.

Airbus UK and Bala Town come head to head at the Airfields and both should feature in the title race.

Buckley Town and NEWI Cefn Druids have got an automatic jump up to this level, Penycae meet Ruthin Town and Rhos Aelwyd play host to Mold Alexandra.

In the Reserves and Colts Division, new team Llangollen Colts visit Brickfield Rangers. Borras Park Albion will be looking to get off the mark against Acrefair Youth, Hawarden Rangers entertain Ruthin Colts, Johnstown visit Overton and Penyffordd travel to Penley.
