Chester have announced that tonight's National League North game against Kidderminster Harriers has been postponed because of water damage at the Swansway Stadium.
Heavy rain on Sunday evening and throughout the night caused extensive damage to areas of the stadium and its infrastructure.
The club made the call to postpone the fixture yesterday evening in an announcement made via social media
A statement issued by the club said: “We can regrettably inform supporters that our home fixture scheduled to take place on Tuesday 14th August against Kidderminster Harriers has been postponed.
“Following assessment today and consultation with the National League and Kidderminster Harriers the decision to postpone the match was made to ensure the safety of all those who would be in attendance.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The game has been rearranged and will now take place Tuesday, August 21 with a 7.45pm kick-off.
