A HEALTH and wellbeing event will take place in Ellesmere Port for people who have been affected by cancer.
This includes anyone who has had a cancer diagnosis whether they are recently diagnosed, undergoing treatment or living with and beyond their diagnosis and treatment.
Friends and family are also welcome to attend.
Organised jointly by the Countess of Chester Hospital and Wirral University Trust Hospital, it will take place at The Civic Hall on Wednesday, May 9, between 12.30pm and 4.30pm.
People will be able to browse the marketplace of stands and speak to cancer specialists, as well as attend talks on various aspects of dealing with cancer. Tea and coffee will also be available throughout the day.
Koren Bailey, Macmillan Support and Information Manager at the Countess of Chester Hospital, said: “The aim is to promote the support that is available locally and nationally alongside the informative talks.
“Anyone is welcome to attend and you can register for the event by phoning the Macmillan Support and Information Centre at the Countess of Chester Hospital on 01244 364948 or via email to cancer.support@nhs.net.”
