Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in Chester on suspicion of theft.
Officers made the arrest today (Friday, May 4) after reports of a man acting suspiciously in the city centre.
When officers attempted to stop and speak to the man he made off and was shortly detained at the Halifax bank on St Werburgh Street.
He was arrested just after 11am on suspicion of theft at a shop.
