TWO men have been charged in connection with drug offences following dawn raids in Blacon yesterday.

Liam Edwards, 28, of Wordsworth Crescent has been charged with conspiring to supply a class A drug (crack cocaine).

And Jonathan Henry, 28, of Norris Road has been charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug (Heroin).

Both were remanded and will appear at Chester Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday, March 15).

Two other men, a 55-year-old and a 27-year-old have been released under investigation.

Specialist officers were used to gain entry to the properties and officers carried out detailed searches of all the addresses.

Detective Sergeant, Nick Henderson, who is in charge of the operation, said: “The action taken by officers reinforces our commitment to proactively target, disrupt and dismantle those suspected of being involved in organised crime.”

He added: “Information from the public is absolutely vital in the fight against drug related activity and I encourage anyone who has any information about organised crime or drug related crime in their community to come forward.”
