A recent alcohol-free event in Chester was such a hit that its organisers have scheduled another for June.

Organised by Claritee Group, the social evening at the Moxy Hotel on April 25 welcomed nearly 60 guests to partake in a range of fun activities.

Organiser Alex Clapp said: "It was a fantastic event.

"We had some great feedback from attendees who said they were nervous about attending an event on their own without the option of an alcoholic drink, but within minutes they were trying their hand at making cocktails and taking part in the activities."

Guests enjoyed a masterclass in alcohol-free cocktails by Citizen Spritz and danced the night away in a salsa class hosted by international salsa Champion Noemi Baricsa.

A live DJ kept the energy high while participants joined in a hoola-hooping contest, darts, and competed at zero-zero beer pong.

Attendees were a mix of college students, gym members, and individuals seeking a fun, hangover-free night.

Chester resident Nicola Staff said: "I went and had the best time ever.

"I had such a laugh and was made made to feel very welcome and comfortable.

"I even got to make a new friend.

"I want to thank Club Claritee for making this possible, hopefully my confidence will continue to grow, and I'm looking forward to the next Chester event."

The next alcohol-free event will be held at the Moxy Hotel on June 27.
