A CHESTER man accused of a serious assault has had his trial date moved.
Kane Oxford, of Brook Street, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Monday via video link.
The 34-year-old is charged with section 18 wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following an incident which led to a section of Foregate Street being cordoned off by police on the morning of Thursday, July 7
He was meant to begin a two-day trial over the matter on Tuesday, but Prosecuting counsel Paulinus Barnes asked for an adjournment in order for further preparations to be made.
Judge Michael Leeming agreed to the request, moving the trial date back to the week commencing February 13 next year.
The defendant was remanded in custody until the trial date.
