A CHARITY ball and walk organised by Chester Business Club raised thousands of pounds for local causes.
Cheques were handed over during a presentation evening and annual general meetingat The Slowboat oriental restaurant.
Receiving £500 each following the club’s charity walk were: Bridge Community Farm; Hospice of the Good Shepherd; Chester Samaritans; Retreat House Chester; and Chester Sports Association for People with a Disability.
The charity ball raised £5,000 each for Save The Family and Claire House Children’s Hospice.
