CONSCIENTIOUS children from a Chester school put on a special performance aimed at encouraging people to be more environmentally-friendly.

Pupils from St Clare’s Catholic Primary School, on Hawthorn Road in Lache, dazzled audiences with the show, called A Big Green Adventure.

Headteacher Marian Ryder said: “The show was full of very important messages about how to look after our planet. From buying foods locally, when they are in season, to recycling materials.

“Everyone was sent off with a mission to make a difference and the pupils acted, sang and danced with great gusto.

“All the pupils thoroughly enjoyed spreading these important messages.”
