Appeal for witnesses following serious assault in Ellesmere Port

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Ellesmere Port. 

In the early hours of Monday, 27 February between 4am and 4.20am the victim was sat his silver Ford Focus car on the junction of Malpas Road and Cholmondeley Road. 

An unknown offender has then thrown a lump of concrete at the driver’s side of the vehicle causing the window to smash. The victim was then attacked through the window causing serious injury to his legs. 

The victim sounded his car horn causing the offender to run away towards Singleton Road. 

The man is described as being of a thin to medium build, 5”10 in height and wearing dark coloured waterproof coat, a grey hoody with the hood up, dark scarf across his face and could also have been wearing gloves. 

The victim received hospital treatment and has been released back home. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the attack or have any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 64 of 27 February.
