Tributes to man who died in car smash near Chester

FAMILY tributes have been paid to a man who died after his car collided with a tree and overturned.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash, which happened on the A5032 Whitby Lane, close to the Strawberry roundabout, Whitby, at 10.15pm on Sunday.

Craig Felton, 34, who is from the Winsford area, died at the scene of the collision. He had been driving his black Peugoet 206 from the Ellesmere Port area towards Chester when the car hit an embankment and crashed into a tree. No one else was involved in the collision.

A statment from his family read: “"The family of Craig are devastated, he was the father of four as well as being the brother of two and a son. He was employed as an interior designer for Lifestyle Interiors.

"He was happy go lucky, loved life and would do anything for anybody. Nothing was too much trouble and not a bad bone in his body. He couldn′t sit still and was constantly on the go.

"One of his daughters − Alancia misses her daddy, their pillow fights and their family days out to the beach and especially Blackpool, a place where he was planning to take the children for a surprise outing. She misses him flicking her on the head. He was always dancing and singing with his children."

Anyone who may haves witnessed the collision or has information relating to it is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1032 of 24/08/2014.
