THE star-studded line up at Chester Rocks has been announced with British hip-hop artist Dizzee Rascal topping the bill.
The event – the fourth since it started in 2011 – will once again be taking place at Chester Racecourse.
The first event starred British boyband McFly, girlband the Saturdays and Welsh rockers Feeder.
Event organiser Lynsey Jones said: “The line-up this year has a broader appeal than ever before and we’re also delighted to be showcasing local talent. We hope to see another record breaking attendance over the three days.”
This year’s event, which takes place on Friday June 6, Saturday June 7 and Sunday, June, 8 includes Razorlight whose hits include America, the Hoosiers best known for top-seller Goodbye Mr A, and the Feeling with I Thought It Was Over.
Chester Racecourse chief executive Richard Thomas said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting Chester Rocks again in June this year, it’s a key feature within the Chester Racecourse calendar.
“Due to the popularity of the event last year, with a record crowd of more than 9,000 people to see Jessie J, the demand for the event has now exceeded just two days and this year we will introduce Friday evening to the weekend line-up.”
Last year Chester Rocks brought more than 20,000 people to the city and as well as the national acts there will be a variety of local acts, including Chester’s The Fallows and The Suns.
Tickets for Chester Rocks 2014 will be available from Friday at 9pm and can be bought from www.chester-rocks.com from £28.50.
