Chester teenager denies City Walls stabbing charge

A TEENAGER has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of a man stabbed on Chester City Walls.

Appearing via videolink at a plea and case management hearing at Chester Crown Court yesterday, Floyd Evans, 18, of Stanley Street, Chester, denied a charge of the attempted murder of a 35-year-old man last autumn.

Evans, who was again remanded in custody, will now face a jury, with a trial date set for Monday, April 7.

The victim, who was rushed to Royal Liverpool University Hospital following the attack, was stabbed in the chest as he walked along the City Walls near the Kaleyards at 9.30pm on Monday, October 21.

The victim was released  from hospital several days later.
