Two in hospital following Asda car park crash

TWO men were taken to hospital after being hit by a car in a supermarket car park in Ellesmere Port.

Police and paramedics were called to the Asda store at about 12.15pm on Friday and an investigation into the collision is now underway.

North West Ambulance Service said a 33-year-old man and a 73-year-old man were taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

The younger man had sustained a leg injury and the older man had an injured head.

Cheshire Police spokeswoman PC Shelley Williams said: "At 12.17pm on Friday, November 9 police were called to Asda in Market Square, Ellesmere Port, following reports of a car in collision with two pedestrians.

“Police and paramedics are at the scene. Police are currently establishing the circumstances of the incident and anyone with any information can contact police on 101 quoting incident number 395 of November 9."
