A PENSIONER who was reported missing over the weekend has been found.
Cheshire Police issued an appeal for information on Sunday morning after
80-year-old Phillip Whalley went missing from his home in Clifton Crescent, Frodsham.
Mr Whalley had not been seen since 5pm on Saturday and was reported missing to police five hours later when he failed to return home. Police had been very concerned for his welfare as he would be in need of medication.
Volunteers from Cheshire Search and Rescue, North East Wales Search and Rescue and Search And Rescue Dog Association Wales all joined the search for Mr Whalley. He was found in the Frodsham area shortly before 7pm on Sunday
night and taken to hospital to be checked over.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Police and search and rescue teams looking for a pensioner reported missing from his home in Frodsham on the evening of Saturday, September 15 have located him.
“Eighty-year-old Phillip Whalley failed to return to his home in Clifton Crescent, Frodsham.
“He has since been found safe and has been taken to hospital to be assessed.”
