A BUSY road had to be closed during the morning rush-hour so firefighters could tackle a car blaze.
The fire occurred at around 8.40am today (December 10) on the A41 Whitchurch Road in Broxton.
One engine from Chester attended the scene.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival they found one car which well alight.
"The road was closed as a precautionary measure while one firefighter, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"The crew were detained at the scene for around one hour."
