Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to tackle the blaze.
FIRE crews in Ellesmere Port were called to tackle a blaze involving an HGV tractor unit and trailer on Boxing Day night.
Two fire engines from Ellesmere Port were deployed to the incident on Oil Sites Road just after 9pm on Wednesday.
On arrival, the team discovered both units were well alight.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
Crews were at the scene for one hour and 40 minutes.
