MERSEYRAIL services on the Chester and Ellesmere Port lines have been suspended after a person was hit by a train.
The incident has been reported to have happened at Bebington on Monday, October 22.
No more details have been released at this time.
One planned train from Liverpool to Chester has been terminated at James Street Station.
A shuttle service is now in place between Chester and Hooton and between Ellesmere Port and Hooton.
2pm update: Merseyrail have put a message on social media to say: "Services will shortly resume on our Chester and Ellesmere Port line following an earlier person struck by a train at Bebington. Bebington Station will remain closed until further notice."
2.37pm update: Services on the Chester and Ellesmere Port line have resumed but are still subject to delay.
